Neverland Ranch Gets Revamped for ‘Michael’ Biopic

Michael Jackson’s iconic estate, Neverland Ranch, is undergoing a makeover in preparation for the upcoming biopic ‘Michael.’ The ranch has been transformed into a whimsical wonderland, complete with fairground rides, a hot-air balloon ride, and even a train.

Filming took place recently at the ranch, with a large crew of extras portraying vendors and guests enjoying the backyard theme park. The biopic stars Michael’s nephew Jaafar Jackson as his uncle, who tragically passed away in 2009.

Jackson left the estate in 2003 following a search warrant related to a child molestation investigation. He never returned, but the ranch remained in the family until it was purchased by Ron Burkle in 2020 for a reported $22 million.

Renewed interest in Jackson’s life has surged with the anticipation of the biopic, which is scheduled for release in Spring 2025. The film will chronicle Michael’s rise to stardom from his early years as the lead singer of the Jackson 5 to his purchase of Neverland Ranch and the creation of his legendary song ‘Thriller.’

The biopic, officially titled ‘Michael,’ is directed by Antoine Fuqua and features an all-star cast, including Coleman Domingo as Joe Jackson, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, Kat Graham as Diana Ross, and Miles Teller as John Branca. It promises to be one of the most highly anticipated films of 2025.
