Radhika Fox Joins Walton Family Foundation as Environment Program Fellow
The Walton Family Foundation has appointed Radhika Fox as a new Environment Program Fellow. Fox previously served as the Assistant Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Water, advising the EPA Administrator and the White House on domestic water resources and infrastructure. She was appointed by President Biden and confirmed by the Senate with bipartisan support.
As a fellow at the Walton Family Foundation, Fox will provide strategic advice on clean water protections for one year. Her focus will include communities that have historically struggled to access clean water. “Sustainably managing and protecting water is one of the most important issues of our time,” said Walton Family Foundation Chair Steuart Walton. “Radhika is one of the nation’s most insightful and effective champions of water. It is now more critical than ever to have the country’s best minds working on solutions that will provide safe, secure, and sustainable water for all.”
Fox emphasized the importance of access to clean water for all Americans. “It’s essential that all Americans continue to have access to lakes, rivers, and streams where they can enjoy nature with their families,” said Fox. “I’m looking forward to working with the Walton Family Foundation to find bold solutions that will protect our water for generations to come.”
During her tenure at the EPA, Fox oversaw the agency’s water policy and regulatory agenda, directing initiatives focused on climate change, sustainability, equity, and environmental justice. She also led the development of the EPA’s water pillar in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, representing the largest federal investment in water. Prior to joining the EPA, Fox served as the Chief Executive Officer for the US Water Alliance, a nonpartisan network that works on common-ground solutions to water and climate challenges.
