New Salerno Airport Promises Easier Access to Amalfi Coast’s Il San Pietro

The upcoming Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport, set to open in early July, promises to significantly ease travel to the beautiful Il San Pietro hotel this summer. Located just a 15-minute drive from the airport, Marina di Arechi Port will serve as the embarkation point for the hotel’s private boat, offering a leisurely and luxurious transfer to Il San Pietro. This new airport will offer international flights, providing seamless connections for travelers aiming to explore the Amalfi Coast and beyond. Situated near Salerno, it will operate flights from various Italian cities including Cagliari, Milan, and Nantes in France. EasyJet will provide twice-weekly service from London Gatwick, as well as flights from Berlin, Basel, and Geneva to Salerno.

Il San Pietro di Positano, a luxurious five-star hotel nestled on the picturesque Amalfi Coast, has embodied elegance and environmental consciousness since its inauguration on June 29, 1970, coinciding with the feast of San Pietro. The hotel’s commitment to sustainability and luxurious accommodations has solidified its place as a haven for discerning travelers. Room rates at the prestigious Il San Pietro start from €726 (£612) per night, inclusive of breakfast for double occupancy. With the new airport’s convenient accessibility, experiencing the unparalleled charm of Il San Pietro and the Amalfi Coast will be more effortless than ever before.
