NextSource Materials: Positioned for Growth in EV Battery Anode Material Supply

NextSource Materials Inc. is poised to become a major player in the supply of lithium-ion battery anode material for electric vehicles, according to Capital Access analysts. The company is ramping up Phase 1 production at its Molo graphite mine in Madagascar, with plans to expand capacity to 150,000 tons per year. Once its battery anode manufacturing plant in Mauritius comes online, NextSource will be among the few companies offering processed graphite supply independent of China. Capital Access believes NextSource is trading at a fraction of its net asset value and is heavily discounted compared to peers. The company’s current share price is attributed to its pre-revenue stage, but as its investment thesis gains recognition, it presents an opportunity for investors seeking exposure to the energy transition and demand for supply chains outside of China.
