The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken a significant step in its pursuit of Canada-based terrorist Goldy Brar and another accused wanted in a case of extortion and firing in Chandigarh. The agency announced a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh each for any information that could lead to the apprehension or arrest of these individuals.
This reward declaration comes as part of the NIA’s ongoing investigation into an incident that took place on March 8, 2023, where the accused allegedly fired at the house of a businessman in an attempt to extort money. The case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and the Arms Act against Satwinder Singh alias Satinderjit Singh alias Goldy Brar and Gurpreet Singh alias Goldy Dhillon alias Goldy Rajpura.
The NIA’s statement highlighted the seriousness of the case, emphasizing their commitment to bring the accused to justice. The agency has urged anyone with information related to the whereabouts of these individuals to contact the NIA headquarters or its Chandigarh branch office.
