In ‘The Idea of You,’ Galitzine plays Hayes Campbell, a cheeky, tattooed British pop star who falls in love with a single mother whose daughter is a fan of his band. It’s a classic rom-com premise, but Galitzine and Hathaway bring a fresh and modern energy to the roles.

‘She’s a diehard supporter,’ Galitzine said. ‘Her entire family are massive Arsenal fans, and I thought she was joking when she first said it, but that was one of the first things we bonded over.’
Galitzine is grateful for the success he’s had in his career, but he’s not taking it for granted. He knows that there are many talented actors who never get a shot, so he’s determined to make the most of his opportunities.
‘I’ve been doing this for ten years, and it wasn’t until my fifth credit that I got to retire from my part-time work and become a professional actor,’ Galitzine said. ‘It sounds cliché, but that’s why whenever I’m on set with these incredible actors—Anne and Julianne—people with Academy Awards—I operate with a level of gratitude that I’m very lucky to be where I am.’
