Nitin Gadkari Faints at Poll Rally
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari fainted during a poll rally in Pusad, Yavatmal-Washim on Wednesday. He was immediately provided medical help and recovered. Gadkari attributed his discomfort to high temperatures. He continued his scheduled poll campaign at Warora in district Amravati after recovering.
Last year, Gadkari had fainted on three separate occasions. A close aide attributed these incidents to his hectic schedule and the rising temperatures.
Priyanka Gandhi Team Member Suspended after Rebellion
Bajirao Khade, a former team member of Priyanka Gandhi from Kolhapur, has been suspended from the Congress party for six years. Khade wanted to contest the Lok Sabha polls, but the party gave the ticket to Shahu Maharaj Chhatrapati. Khade decided to rebel and filed his nomination as an independent.
When Khade had joined Priyanka’s team, he was relatively unknown in Kolhapur. Many wondered how he reached that position within the party.
