NJ Dad Carries Son’s Limp Body into Hospital After Forced Treadmill Run

A disturbing video played during the trial of New Jersey dad Christopher Gregor showed him carrying his six-year-old son Corey Micciolo’s battered body into the hospital shortly before he died. According to a registered nurse who was on duty at the hospital at the time, Micciolo was hardly moving in his father’s arms and was taking “dire, almost end-of-life breaths.”

Another video, played earlier in the trial, showed Gregor making Micciolo run on a treadmill, and every time the child fell, Gregor placed him back on the machine.

A previous autopsy report stated that Micciolo died as a result of blunt force injuries with cardiac and liver contusions, acute inflammation, and sepsis. However, a forensic pathologist later determined that Micciolo’s death was a homicide, as he had suffered from chronic abuse including blunt impact injuries on his chest and abdomen, as well as a laceration on his heart, left pulmonary contusion, and laceration and contusion of his liver.

Gregor was initially arrested on child neglect charges but was later charged with homicide. He turned down a 30-year plea deal and is now being held in the Ocean City Jail without bond.
