No Injuries in Las Vegas Convention Center Crane Incident

A truck-mounted crane involved in the $600 million renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center toppled over Wednesday morning, causing minimal damage but no injuries, according to a representative for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. The crane, owned by a third-party contractor, was being used for renovations to the building’s North Hall. It was damaged in the accident, along with a nearby storage container. Nevada’s Occupational Safety and Health Office does not typically investigate non-injury accidents, but a representative of the agency could not be reached Wednesday. There was no damage estimate available at the time of this report. This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as they become available. Contact Richard N.
