In the vibrant spirit of May, New York City’s social scene reached new heights with a swanky dinner hosted by Nordstrom and London-based fashion label Erdem. The intimate gathering, held at the cozy corners of the West Village hotspot Don Angie, celebrated the launch of Erdem’s latest collection with the renowned retailer.
An illustrious guest list graced the evening, including the iconic Glenn Close, the stylish Tommy Dorfman, and the discerning Gabriella Karefa-Johnson. As trays of delectable arancini and garlic flatbread circulated, guests sipped on a mix of Diet Coke and classic dirty martinis.
The evening served as a toast to Erdem’s enchanting Spring/Summer 2024 runway collection, with seven exclusive pieces showcased at Nordstrom’s pop-up installation from May 1st to June 2nd. At the stroke of 8 p.m., guests were invited to the dinner table, where they enjoyed a culinary masterpiece. The famous pinwheel lasagna from Don Angie, alongside chrysanthemum salads, lemon-drizzled steak, and Japanese sweet potatoes smothered in a rich miso cream sauce, tantalized taste buds.
Rickie De Sole, Nordstrom’s Executive Vice President and General Manager of Product, expressed her gratitude to Erdem Moralioglu, the founder of Erdem. De Sole praised Moralioglu’s magical Spring/Summer show, which inspired a joyful and beautiful pop-up installation. Moralioglu, in his speech, thanked De Sole for her support and for organizing the first dinner of its kind in New York to celebrate an Erdem collection.
As conversations swirled about Met Gala predictions and the social whirl of the season, it was evident that May’s arrival had ignited the heart of New York City. The intimate affair at Don Angie served as a testament to the city’s resurgence and the enduring power of fashion to bring people together.
