In a significant act of support for the community of Juneau, Alaska, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) has announced a $50,000 donation to the Juneau Community Foundation. This contribution aims to alleviate the financial hardship faced by residents recovering from the devastating floods caused by the release of water from the Mendenhall Glacier.
The recent flooding, described as the most severe in Juneau’s history, resulted in widespread damage, including submerged homes and displacement of numerous residents. NCLH’s donation will bolster a dedicated fund established to assist with expenses that may not be covered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

By the end of September, the foundation will review these applications and begin distributing funds to those in need.
