Norwegian Cruise Line Unveils ‘Charting the Course’ Strategy at Investor Day

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH), together with NCL Corporation Ltd., is embarking on a new chapter with its comprehensive ‘Charting the Course’ strategy. This transformative plan introduces a refreshed vision and strategic initiatives centered around four key pillars: People Excellence, Guest-Centric Product, Long-Term Growth Platform, and Exceptional Performance. These pillars are designed to enhance the company’s culture, direct investments towards guest-valued offerings, capitalize on high-growth opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.

Underpinning the ‘Charting the Course’ strategy is the company’s Sail & Sustain sustainability strategy. With a vision of ‘Vacation Better, Experience More,’ NCLH aims to connect with guests across its three award-winning cruise brands—Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. This vision inspires both shipboard and shoreside team members to deliver exceptional experiences to nearly three million guests annually.

NCLH has set ambitious financial and sustainability targets by the end of 2026. Given the current strong demand and an improved outlook for the year, the company has raised its full-year 2024 guidance, increasing expectations for Net Yield growth, Adjusted EBITDA, and Adjusted EPS.

‘We are excited to embark on this transformative journey with our ‘Charting the Course’ strategy, which will guide our plans for future growth. Our new vision, ‘Vacation Better, Experience More,’ captures our commitment to delivering unforgettable vacation experiences for our guests. We are aligning our over 40,000 team members to fulfill this commitment through the strategic initiatives that comprise our ‘Charting the Course’ strategy,’ said Harry Sommer, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.

‘This strategy is already in motion with initiatives such as our recent announcement regarding eight transformational newbuilds for our three brands and infrastructure improvements for our private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay. We will continue to innovate and build upon our foundation of success—not just financially, but also sustainably through our Sail & Sustain program,’ added Sommer.

With a commitment to enhancing shareholder value and delivering exceptional guest experiences, NCLH’s ‘Charting the Course’ strategy sets a bold and ambitious path for the future of the cruise industry.
