Nottingham Forest is preparing to take legal action against Sky Sports for comments made by former Manchester United player Gary Neville. In the wake of Forest’s 2-0 defeat to Everton, the club released a statement expressing their frustration with the officiating, including allegations of a potential bias by VAR official Stuart Attwell due to his support for Luton.
Neville responded by calling Forest’s statement “like a mafia-gang statement” on Sky Sports. These comments have not only angered Forest but also prompted the club to consider legal action.
In addition to the possible legal proceedings, Nottingham Forest has also requested the release of audio from the three rejected penalty appeals and filed a formal complaint with the FA and Premier League.
