NTA Extends UGC NET June 2024 Registration Deadline
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration window for the UGC NET June 2024 exam. Candidates who wish to appear for the same can apply on the official website of NTA UGC at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The last date to submit the application form is May 15, 2024, while candidates can make fee payments till May 12, 2024, up to 11:50 pm.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the exam, general/unreserved/general-EWS candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in their master’s degree or equivalent examination from UGC-recognized universities/institutions. Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to the non-creamy layer/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Third gender category candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in their master’s degree or equivalent examination.
Examination Fee
The application fee for general candidates is Rs. 1,150, while General-EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates need to pay Rs. 600. SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 325.
Exam Date and Mode
The UGC NET June 2024 exam will be conducted on June 16, 2024, in the OMR (Pen & Paper) mode. The exam will have a duration of 180 minutes (3 hours) and will consist of two papers. Both papers will be objective-type, multiple-choice questions, and there will be no break between papers.
