Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s Pay Soars 60% to $34.2 Million Amid Strong AI Chip Demand

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang received a significant 60% salary increase last year, bringing his total compensation package to $34.2 million. This hefty package was primarily driven by the surging demand for Nvidia’s artificial intelligence (AI) chips, which have fueled the company’s share price rally and positioned Nvidia as the third-most valuable company globally, trailing only Microsoft and Apple.

Huang’s compensation is a testament to Nvidia’s success in the AI chip market, where its products are widely used in applications such as data centers, gaming, and autonomous vehicles. The company’s strong performance has also significantly boosted Huang’s personal wealth, making him the 18th richest person in the world with an estimated net worth of $80.5 billion.

In addition to Huang’s substantial salary, the company’s chief financial officer, Colette Kress, also saw a salary increase of approximately 22% to $13.3 million last year. Furthermore, Nvidia’s median employee salary rose by 17% to $266,939 in fiscal 2024.

As demand for AI chips continues to grow, Nvidia is well-positioned to continue its success in the technology industry. The company’s focus on innovation and its strong market position make it a leader in the development and deployment of AI technologies.
