Oceania Cruises Partners with American Cancer Society for ‘Relay For Life at Sea’

Oceania Cruises, renowned for its luxurious voyages and culinary excellence, has announced a new partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS). This collaboration brings the ACS’s Relay For Life program to the high seas, introducing ‘Relay For Life at Sea.’ The program invites guests, crew, and staff to participate in a collective effort to support the fight against cancer.

The initiative aims to generate significant funds for cancer research, patient support, and advocacy, demonstrating Oceania Cruises’ commitment to social responsibility. The program kicked off on the cruise line’s newest vessel, Vista, and will soon be introduced across the entire fleet, including the Insignia, which is currently completing its 180-day Around The World Cruise. The goal is to raise $150,000 for the American Cancer Society by the end of the year.

“We are thrilled to launch our collaboration with the American Cancer Society and introduce the Relay For Life at Sea program to our valued guests and crew,” stated Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania Cruises. “This initiative reflects Oceania Cruises’ commitment not only to delivering exceptional travel experiences but also to making a positive impact in the communities we touch, consistently aiming to foster a spirit of unity. We look forward to seeing not only our guests, but our officers and team members, come together to celebrate survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and contribute to the fight against cancer.”

The program will involve engaging activities onboard, culminating in a celebratory gathering where participants can share their accomplishments and receive special recognition and prizes for top performers in various age categories. This new program showcases Oceania Cruises’ commitment to navigating towards a brighter future, embracing love, laughter, and renewed hope in the fight against cancer.
