In a highly anticipated clash, Odisha FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant took to the field at the Kalinga Stadium, hoping to secure a crucial three points. However, much to the disappointment of the spectators, the match ended in a goalless draw.
Despite the lack of goals, the game was far from dull. Both teams created numerous chances throughout the match, but neither could capitalize on them. Odisha FC’s Isak was particularly impressive in the first half, coming close to scoring on several occasions. He forced a mistake from Anwar Ali and unleashed a shot toward the top right corner, but Vishal Kaith made a critical save to deny him.
Mohun Bagan’s Sadiku also had several chances to score but was unable to convert them. In the 26th and 34th minutes, Asish Rai and Sahal Abdul Samad respectively set up deliveries for the striker, but his efforts were thwarted by Amrinder Singh.
In the second half, Dimitrios Petratos had a few chances for Mohun Bagan but failed to make them count. Odisha FC’s substitutions, including Jason Cummings and Cy Goddard, also failed to significantly impact the game.
Ultimately, both teams had to settle for a point each, leaving them in the middle of the Indian Super League standings.
