Shohei Ohtani continued his impressive start to the season with three doubles, including two RBI doubles in the eighth and ninth innings, as the Los Angeles Dodgers routed the Washington Nationals 11-2 on Wednesday night. Ohtani extended his major league lead in batting average to .371, slugging percentage (.695), OPS (1.128), extra-base hits (21), and doubles (14).
Rookie Landon Knack earned his first career victory, allowing just one run on three hits over six innings. Nick Senzel provided the lone offensive highlight for Washington, connecting for a solo home run in the second inning.
The Dodgers offense exploded for a season-high 20 hits, with Mookie Betts and Will Smith each contributing four hits. Andy Pages also went deep for Los Angeles, hitting a solo homer in the eighth inning.
The victory marked the Dodgers’ third straight and improved their record to 16-10. The Nationals, meanwhile, dropped to 11-14 with the loss.

Dodgers: Right-handed pitcher Blake Treinen allowed three runs on three hits in one-third of an inning in his first rehabilitation appearance for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
Nationals: Outfielder Lane Thomas was placed on the 10-day injured list with a sprained left MCL. Infielder Trey Lipscomb was recalled from Triple-A Rochester to take Thomas’ place on the active roster.
