Oklahoma City Family Massacre: Father Kills Wife and Three Sons Before Taking His Own Life

On Monday, a 10-year-old boy in Oklahoma City woke up to a horrifying scene. His father, Jonathon Candy, had fatally shot his wife, Lindsay Candy, and three of his sons, Dylan, Ethan, and Lucas, before taking his own life. The boy called 911 and reported the grisly discovery, leading to a police investigation.

Oklahoma City Police Sergeant Gary Knight described the incident as a “massacre,” stating that the children were “hunted down and killed.” The motive for the killings is still under investigation, with authorities stating that the family had no history of domestic abuse or police involvement.

The shooting victims have been identified as Lindsay Candy, 39, Dylan Candy, 18, Ethan Candy, 14, and Lucas Candy, 12. Jonathon Candy, the suspected gunman, was 42 years old. The surviving 10-year-old boy is receiving counseling and support from authorities.

The Oklahoma City Police Department continues to investigate the incident, seeking to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic family massacre.
