Oklahoma City Pastor Honored by FBI for Community Leadership
Pastor Thaddeus Black, a former drug dealer who turned his life around to become a pastor, has been recognized by the FBI with the prestigious Director’s Community Leadership Award (DCLA).
The DCLA was created to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to strengthening communities and reducing crime and violence. Pastor Black was selected for the award for his dedication to guiding young people away from the path he once took.
Today, Pastor Black serves as a pastor at Tulakes Community Church in Bethany. His life story, which includes his journey from prison to the pulpit, was previously featured by News 4 in December 2022.
The FBI Director, Christopher Wray, presented Pastor Black with the award at the FBI Headquarters in Washington D.C. The award is a testament to Pastor Black’s unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on his community.
