Ola Electric Condemns Arson Attack on Showroom in Karnataka

Ola Electric, the Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer, has strongly condemned an arson attack on one of its brand stores in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 10, when a customer, identified as Mohammad Nadeem, allegedly set fire to the showroom after experiencing issues with his new Ola scooter.

Nadeem, 26 years old, had purchased the scooter a few days prior but had encountered problems with it. Despite multiple visits to the showroom, he was reportedly dissatisfied with the brand store’s response to his concerns. Frustrated, he allegedly engaged in a verbal argument with the showroom owner before setting the store ablaze.

Following the incident, Kalaburagi Chowk Police Station registered a case and apprehended Nadeem. Ola Electric confirmed the incident in a statement on Twitter, highlighting that they had identified the perpetrator and filed an FIR at the concerned police station. The company stressed their condemnation of this unlawful act and vowed to take all necessary legal measures to ensure appropriate and strict action against the individual.

Ola Electric’s statement underscores the company’s commitment to addressing customer grievances effectively and preventing similar incidents in the future. The incident also serves as a reminder for businesses to prioritize customer service and implement robust processes to resolve customer issues promptly and efficiently.
