Oman Air Boosts Salalah Connectivity for Khareef Season

Oman Air, dedicated to bolstering tourism in Salalah and contributing to national objectives, has implemented strategic initiatives to enhance connectivity to the city during the Khareef season. To meet the rising demand, the airline has maximized its capacity, offering up to 11 daily flights during peak periods. They have also upgraded several flights to wide-body aircraft, resulting in an additional 4,500 seats available throughout the season.

In July alone, Oman Air transported nearly 50,000 passengers to Salalah, with over 70% of them benefiting from fixed national fare tickets. “Salalah, especially during Khareef season, is one of Oman’s most treasured touristic assets,” stated Mike Rutter, Oman Air’s Chief Commercial Officer. “As a key sector, we are committed to supporting and promoting it as a destination in line with the national objectives. This Khareef, we’ve deployed maximum capacity to meet demand and offer more frequencies than any other airline.”

Recognizing the importance of affordability and accessibility for Omani citizens, Oman Air has introduced consistent and transparent year-round fixed fares for travel between Muscat and Salalah. This ensures that Omani residents can stay connected with loved ones or explore the beauty of their country without the burden of fluctuating fares.

During the Khareef season, the fixed national fare is available for OMR 54 return, while it is OMR 64 for the rest of the year. This exclusive fare can only be booked through the airline’s website and mobile app. Although there is no cap on the number of Omani national fare tickets, they are in high demand, so early booking is highly recommended.

In addition to the fixed fares for Omani nationals, Oman Air also provides competitive fares for non-Omani passengers, ensuring a welcoming and accessible experience for all visitors to Salalah.
