OmniTRAX Expands Rail Network, Adds Third P&G Manufacturing Plant in Lima, Ohio

This strategic partnership signifies a significant expansion of OmniTRAX’s national rail network, further solidifying the company’s commitment to supporting the efficient movement of goods for major industry leaders like P&G.
This new rail agreement, effective November 1, 2024, marks the third P&G manufacturing plant to join the OmniTRAX network. The company already provides switching services to P&G facilities in Georgia and West Virginia, demonstrating the trust and confidence P&G places in OmniTRAX’s expertise and operational efficiency.

Under the agreement, OmniTRAX will manage daily operational needs serving P&G’s Lima, Ohio manufacturing plant. OmniTRAX’s dedicated switching affiliate, OmniTRAX Lima Industrial (OLI), will handle the daily switching of inbound railcars to the plant for placement and return empty cars on P&G’s outbound track from the facility’s expansive 550-acre campus.
The comprehensive rail service partnership encompasses a wide range of services, including facility switching, rail inspection, rail maintenance and repair, and all corresponding operational reporting for the Fortune 50 company’s expanding Lima Operation.
It’s worth noting that P&G’s Lima operation has recently announced a significant half-billion-dollar manufacturing expansion project. When fully operational in 2026, the Lima project will become the only P&G plant worldwide to produce Gain and Downey Unstoppable laundry scent beads. This expansion further highlights the importance of efficient logistics and transportation, making OmniTRAX’s expertise even more valuable to P&G.
