One Fatality in Glider Crash Near Calgary
A single-occupant glider crash has resulted in the unfortunate loss of one individual near Highway 7, south of Calgary, Alberta. Diamond Valley Fire Rescue received the distress call at approximately 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival at the scene, fire crews discovered that the person had already succumbed to their injuries.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Diamond Valley detachment responded to the incident, which was initially reported as an “airplane crash.” Diamond Valley is located about 60 kilometers southwest of Calgary.
