Oppo has launched the K12 smartphone in China, which is remarkably similar to the recently released OnePlus Nord CE 4. The device boasts an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Users can further expand the storage capacity up to 1TB via a microSD card.
The Oppo K12 sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also offers a 2,160Hz PWM dimming rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1,100 nits. For enhanced image processing, the device is equipped with a dedicated Spectra X650 ISP.
In terms of optics, the Oppo K12 houses a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultra-wide sensor with a 120-degree field of view. An LED flash accompanies the rear camera module. On the front, the handset features a 16-megapixel sensor for capturing selfies.
Powering the Oppo K12 is a robust 5,500mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NFC, and USB Type-C. The device also boasts an in-display fingerprint sensor and carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Oppo has priced the K12 competitively in China at CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs. 20,700) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, CNY 1,999 (approximately Rs. 23,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model, and CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 28,700) for the top-end 12GB + 512GB variant. The smartphone will be available for pre-order through the Oppo China store and will go on sale starting April 29th. It is available in Qingyun and Starry Night color options.
