ORIGIN PC has just unveiled its latest high-performance workstation laptops, the NSL-14 and NSL-16. Both models are powered by Intel’s impressive new Core Ultra 7 processor, promising to deliver exceptional performance for demanding workloads.
At the heart of both laptops lies the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, equipped with 8 cores and 8 threads, clocking in at up to 4.8GHz. Notably, the NSL-14 and NSL-16 don’t feature Hyper-Threading, but they still pack a punch with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory. For storage, the NSL-14 offers up to 8TB of Gen4 SSD, while the larger NSL-16 boasts a whopping 16TB of SSD storage.
The NSL-14 features a 14-inch display with a 1200p (1920 x 1200) resolution but is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate. While this is acceptable for a workstation laptop, a 120Hz refresh rate would have been a welcome addition for smoother visuals. The NSL-16, on the other hand, boasts a larger 16-inch display with a 1600p (2560 x 1600) resolution and a smoother 144Hz refresh rate, making it a better choice for creative professionals who need a responsive visual experience.
Connectivity options on both laptops include a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, a Thunderbolt 4 combo port with Power Delivery, an HDMI port, a 2-in-1 audio jack, and a microSD card reader.
ORIGIN PC highlights the NSL-16 workstation laptop as a powerhouse for creative workflows, stating: “See projects through from start to finish with the NSL-16. Stay on track with a minimalistic design focused on the most important functions. Powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, it offers quick, yet power-efficient performance, while robust build quality ensures the laptop is durable enough for frequent, every-day use. Customizable with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and 8TB of SSD storage, access reliable speeds and save any files, projects, and software you need.”
The NSL-14 and NSL-16 workstation laptops are available for purchase from ORIGIN PC right now, starting at $1739 and $1939, respectively. These new laptops from ORIGIN PC offer powerful hardware and ample storage, but the lack of a higher refresh rate on the NSL-14 may be a deal-breaker for some users. Ultimately, choosing between the NSL-14 and NSL-16 depends on your individual needs and budget.
