Osama Bin Laden-Inspired Beer Sparks Unprecedented Demand in the UK

The Mitchell Brewing Co. in the United Kingdom has encountered an unprecedented demand for its Orama Bin Lager beer, prompting the company to temporarily unplug its phones and close its website. The beer, named after the infamous terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden, has become a viral sensation on social media, leading to an overwhelming influx of orders. The website now indicates that the beer will be available on June 30, 2024.

According to a report, the brewery and pub are operated by Luke and Catherine Mitchell. Luke expressed his astonishment at the sudden surge in demand, stating that they had received thousands of notifications upon waking up. His wife, Catherine, described the situation as “crazy,” with their phone ringing incessantly for the past 48 hours.

Luke explained that the brewery’s unconventional beer names are intended to be humorous and provide a positive perspective on some of history’s most notorious dictators. On May 22, the company announced the launch of Osama Bin Lager to the world from Lincolnshire in an Instagram post.

In addition to Orama Bin Lager, the brewery offers other beers with eye-catching names, such as Kim Jong Ale, Putin Porter, and Criminally Smooth. They also produce Get Berries in Cider, In Cider, and Winston ChurchPale. Notably, for every barrel of Orama Bin Lager sold, the brewery donates £10 to charities that support victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
