Oscar Winner Sissy Spacek Joins FX’s ‘Dying for Sex’ Limited Series

Sissy Spacek, an acclaimed actress celebrated for her Oscar-winning performance, has been cast in a recurring role opposite the talented Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate in FX’s captivating limited series, ‘Dying for Sex.’ This highly anticipated series, penned by the skilled writing duo of Liz Meriwether and Kim Rosenstock, draws inspiration from the captivating Wondery podcast of the same name.

‘Dying for Sex’ delves into the profound journey of Molly (Williams), a woman whose diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer prompts her to break free from her 15-year marriage and embark on an exploration of her sexuality. Throughout her transformative adventure, she finds unwavering support and encouragement from her devoted best friend Nikki (Slate), who remains by her side until the very end.

Spacek will bring to life the character of Gail, Molly’s mother, whose intricate history with her daughter adds depth and complexity to the narrative.
