OTM Mumbai has secured the prestigious title of the #1 travel trade show in India and Asia, according to a comprehensive market research study conducted by the renowned global leader in consumer intelligence, NielsenIQ. This in-depth study, commissioned by Fairfest Media Limited, surveyed attendees who have experienced two or more travel trade shows across the region. The results revealed that OTM Mumbai is widely recognized as the top event at national, regional, and Asia-wide levels, surpassing other major shows, including ITB Asia, ITB India, and SATTE Delhi.

The study, conducted between August 2 and September 4, 2024, encompassed a wide geographical area, including India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and more. It involved a total of 312 respondents, comprising 23 exhibitors and 289 visitors, carefully selected from a database exceeding 14,000 visitors and 2,200 exhibitors. This rigorous research assessed 18 international travel trade shows in Asia and 20 regional shows within India, providing detailed insights into exhibitor and visitor experiences, overall satisfaction, and repeat attendance intentions.

The research found that OTM Mumbai scored exceptionally high across all key metrics, demonstrating its commitment to delivering high-quality buyers and maximizing ROI for participants. The survey examined granular aspects, including the quality of exhibits, visitor profiles, relevance of speakers, conference sessions, and the overall venue experience, further solidifying OTM’s position as the premier B2B event in Asia for travel industry professionals.

The upcoming OTM, scheduled to take place from January 30 to February 1, 2025, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, is poised to be the largest edition to date. Organizers anticipate welcoming over 40,000 travel professionals from more than 60 countries, with a significant presence of pre-qualified buyers from India, Asia, and beyond.
