Ottawa’s Hotel Boom: Four New Hotels to Elevate Event Scene

Ottawa is gearing up to become a top-tier destination for events and conferences with the addition of four new hotels, each boasting unique features and prime locations. These new accommodations will not only enhance the city’s hospitality scene but also attract a wider range of visitors, further solidifying Ottawa’s position as a thriving hub for business and leisure.

The first to open its doors is the AC Marriott Ottawa, slated to welcome guests in autumn 2024. With 159 guestrooms and five meeting rooms spanning 3,648 square feet, the AC Marriott will cater to both business travelers and leisure guests seeking a sophisticated and comfortable stay.

Following closely behind in spring 2025, the Moxy Ottawa will inject a dose of trendy, youthful energy into the city’s hospitality landscape. Known for its bold and playful design, the Moxy will offer 224 guestrooms, creating a vibrant atmosphere that appeals to both travelers and locals alike. Both the AC Marriott and Moxy Ottawa will be strategically located in the bustling Byward Market, a short stroll from the Rideau Centre, University of Ottawa, and Shaw Centre, ensuring easy access to the city’s main attractions.

By the end of 2025, Ottawa will see the arrival of the iconic Hard Rock Hotel. Blending Hard Rock’s signature rock ‘n’ roll energy with luxurious accommodations, the hotel will feature 150 guestrooms, 22 suites, and an 1,800-seat theatre, which can accommodate up to 2,200 standing guests. The Hard Rock Hotel promises an unforgettable experience with its casino, restaurants, bars, lounges, and event spaces designed to host everything from intimate meetings to grand celebrations.

In 2027, the Renaissance Ottawa will complete the quartet of new hotels, adding a touch of luxury to the city’s downtown scene. Offering 230 guest rooms and 6,000 square feet of sophisticated meeting space, the Renaissance Ottawa will be renowned for its distinctive style and personalized service, providing an elevated experience for discerning guests.

With the addition of these four new hotels, Ottawa is poised to become a more dynamic and exciting destination for events and conferences. From modern and stylish to rock ‘n’ roll-inspired, the new hotels offer diverse accommodation options, cutting-edge facilities, and a range of event spaces catering to various needs.
