Outcrop Silver Intercepts High-Grade Silver at La Ye Vein, Santa Ana Project

Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation (OCG) has announced positive results from the first drill hole at the La Ye vein target as part of its ongoing 2024 drill campaign at its 100% owned Santa Ana primary silver project in Colombia. This discovery adds another high-grade silver target to the company’s portfolio, further strengthening the project’s resource expansion potential.

The drill program is systematically testing numerous high-grade silver targets along a 17-kilometer permitted corridor. Outcrop Silver is currently utilizing two drill rigs, one at the Jimenez vein system and the other at the La Ye vein. The company anticipates commencing drilling at the promising Los Mangos target before the end of 2024.

Drill hole DH402 intersected a significant 0.60-meter interval returning 1,136 grams per tonne silver equivalent at the La Ye vein. These results confirm the presence of high-grade silver at depth on parallel vein systems, indicating the untapped potential to expand the mineral resources at Santa Ana.

Guillermo Hernandez, Vice President of Exploration, stated, “Our 2024 exploration program is designed to methodically test the numerous high-grade silver targets along the trend, and La Ye is now the third confirmation of significant mineralization this year. This outcome reinforces our confidence in executing our plan and advancing towards the upcoming resource expansion. The potential at Santa Ana continues to grow as we delve deeper into parallel vein systems. We are entering exciting times as we explore new areas and validate our strategy. The results from the first hole at the La Ye vein motivate us to track down potential mineralized shoots along the two kilometers separating La Ye and Morena veins.”

La Ye is a high-grade silver-gold vein system characterized by its parallel alignment with the Aguilar vein system. The vein boasts a strike length exceeding 500 meters and trends at 225° with a dip of 55° to the northwest. Mineralization at La Ye is hosted within weakly altered green schists and associated with drusy quartz containing sulfides, including argentite (silver sulfide). Previous sampling at La Ye has yielded exceptional high-grade assay results, with notable samples showcasing silver equivalent grades exceeding 4,898 g/t.

The exploration strategy for La Ye includes targeted drilling to confirm mineralization at depth and investigate the vein’s continuity along strike. La Ye is a high-priority zone for potential resource expansion within the Santa Ana project.

The 2024 Exploration Program at Santa Ana is focused on demonstrating a clear pathway to expand the known resource area along the extensive 17-kilometer strike of drill-permitted targets within the 30-kilometer mineralized trend. Through large step-outs and testing new drill targets such as La Ye and Morena, the program aims to define high-priority drill-ready targets and significantly increase the project’s resource potential.

This exploration campaign underscores the scalability of Santa Ana and its potential for substantial resource growth, positioning the project to develop into a high-grade, economically viable, and environmentally responsible silver mine.

Outcrop Silver remains dedicated to expanding current mineral resources through strategic exploration initiatives, emphasizing responsible mining practices and community engagement. With a deep understanding of the Colombian mining landscape and a track record of successful exploration, Outcrop Silver is poised to transform the Santa Ana project into a significant silver producer.
