Padres Triumph Over Rockies 5-2 with Waldron’s Knuckleball Prowess and Bogaerts’ Batting Brilliance

The Padres seized an early advantage by capitalizing on Colorado starter Ty Blach’s struggles in the first inning. Bogaerts ignited the rally with a leadoff single, followed by walks to Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jurickson Profar, loading the bases. Waldron faced a challenge in the fourth inning when he walked two batters and surrendered a single, loading the bases. However, he swiftly escaped the jam by inducing a pop-out and a groundout, preserving the Padres’ lead.
San Diego added another run in the sixth inning, taking a 5-0 advantage. Elias Diaz’s homer in the eighth brought one run back for the Rockies, but Waldron and the Padres’ bullpen held strong to secure the victory.
