In a shocking turn of events, Bismah Maroof, one of Pakistan’s most prominent women cricketers and former captain, has announced her immediate retirement from international cricket. The 32-year-old was forced to take an extended break from cricket due to fitness issues in 2020 and the birth of her daughter in 2021. Despite these challenges, Maroof remained a vital player for Pakistan, making waves when she brought her baby to the 2022 World Cup in New Zealand.
