Pakistani mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Shahzaib Rind has shed light on the incident that transpired between himself and Indian fighter Rana Singh, which resulted in a physical altercation prior to their scheduled bout.
According to Rind, the conflict arose due to Singh’s inappropriate remarks directed towards Pakistan both on social media and during the pre-fight press conference. Rind stated that Singh’s behavior prompted him to respond with a slap, which was captured on video and widely circulated online.
In the subsequent fight, which took place on April 21 in Dubai as part of ‘Karate Combat,’ Rind swiftly knocked out Singh. The Pakistani fighter attributed his victory to his rigorous training regime in the United States.
Rind expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to represent Pakistan on the international stage and emphasized his commitment to promoting a positive image of his country. He added that his post-fight gesture of holding both the Pakistani and Indian flags was intended to convey a message of peace and unity.
Upon his return to Pakistan, Rind expressed his aspiration to pursue a world title and acknowledged the honor of representing his nation. He expressed his contentment with the victory over Singh and his overall performance at Karate Combat 45.
