The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a generous bonus for its T20 World Cup squad: each player will receive a USD 100,000 windfall if the team triumphs in the upcoming tournament in the Americas. This incentive aims to motivate the squad as they prepare to depart for an away T20 series against Ireland and England. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi addressed the players, emphasizing that while the prize money is substantial, it pales in comparison to the significance of lifting the trophy. He urged the team to play with heart and determination for the pride of Pakistan, expressing confidence that victory would be achieved through teamwork. Naqvi also highlighted the unity among the players and expressed optimism about the potential of fast-bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi in the tournament. The PCB Chairman’s visit also included the distribution of special shirts to players who had achieved notable milestones. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohamad Rizwan received recognition for completing 3,000 T20 runs, while pacer Naseem Shah was acknowledged for taking 100 T20 wickets.
