The Pune Rural Police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Manoram Khedkar, Dilip Khedkar, the parents of trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, and five other individuals. The FIR was lodged at the Paud police station late last night based on a complaint filed by a local farmer. The farmer alleged that he was threatened by Manoram Khedkar.
The FIR has been registered under sections 323, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertain to voluntarily causing hurt, intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace, and criminal intimidation, respectively. Charges under the Arms Act have also been included in the FIR, according to Manoj Yadav, Senior Police Inspector of the Paud Police Station. This incident has drawn attention to the alleged involvement of the parents of a trainee IAS officer in a criminal case, raising concerns about the circumstances surrounding the threats made to the farmer.
