Paris 2024 Paralympics: A Record-Breaking Spectacle

The 17th edition of the Paralympic Games, held in Paris from August 28 to September 8, 2024, proved to be a record-breaking spectacle. Over the course of the 11-day event, athletes across archery, athletics, swimming, track cycling, rowing, and powerlifting shattered nearly 100 world records, demonstrating the exceptional skill and determination of these incredible individuals.

Sarka Pultar Musilova (CZE) set a new world record with a score of 659 points, surpassing the previous record of 657 points held by Jessica Stretton (GBR) since 2017.

Oznur Cure Girdi (TUR) claimed a new world record of 704 points, exceeding the previous record of 698 points set by Phoebe Paterson Pine (GBR) in 2024.

Mixed Team Compound – Open – 144 Arrow Ranking Round:

The Indian duo of Sheetal Devi & Rakesh Kumar established a new world record of 1399 points, surpassing the previous record of 1398 points set by their compatriots Sarita & Rakesh Kumar in 2023.
