Paris 2024: Summer Olympics Set to Begin

The 33rd edition of the Summer Olympics is set to take place in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11 this year. This highly anticipated sporting event will feature 32 sports, including the 28 “core” Olympic sports. The inclusion of four new sports – breaking, skateboarding, surfing and sports climbing – adds a contemporary twist to the traditional Olympic lineup.

While the official opening ceremony is scheduled for July 26, the excitement will begin earlier. Football and Rugby Sevens will kick off their competitions on July 24, followed by Handball on July 25. This early start allows fans to immerse themselves in the Olympic atmosphere before the official opening ceremony.

Paris is prepared to welcome athletes and spectators from around the world to celebrate the pinnacle of athletic achievement. The city’s vibrant culture and historic landmarks will provide a stunning backdrop for these global games.
