Paris Olympics Day 15: India’s Hopes Rest on Reetika Hooda and Vinesh Phogat’s CAS Verdict

The penultimate day of the Paris Olympics is upon us, and India’s hopes rest on the shoulders of wrestler Reetika Hooda and the awaited verdict on Vinesh Phogat’s appeal.

Reetika Hooda will compete in the Women’s Freestyle 76kg category, hoping to bring more glory for India after Aman Sehrawat’s bronze medal win in the 57kg freestyle. She is the last of the six Indian wrestlers participating in Paris.

Meanwhile, the eyes of India are glued to the Court of Arbitration in Sport (CAS) tribunal in Paris, where Vinesh Phogat’s plea for a silver medal after her disqualification is expected to conclude with an interim verdict.

The women’s golf campaign will also reach its conclusion with Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar participating in the final round of the individual stroke play. After a difficult third round, both golfers face a challenge to improve their positions. Aditi slipped to 40th place, while Diksha dropped further to 42nd.

Stay tuned for live updates on all Indian athlete participation and other major international developments from the Paris Olympics.
