Partnership Between Digital Marketing Agency and Nonprofit Foundation Aims to Address Opioid Crisis

Discovery Resort Marketing (DRM) and the Victoria’s Voice Foundation have joined forces to combat the escalating opioid crisis in the United States. DRM, a leading digital marketing agency in the vacation ownership industry, is leveraging its expertise to raise awareness and advocate for policy changes that will support recovery efforts and prevent overdose deaths.

The partnership is spearheaded by Jenny Nelson, a senior executive at DRM with a deep personal connection to addiction. Nelson, a former Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in substance abuse treatment, continues to dedicate time to counseling patients pro-bono.

The partnership with Victoria’s Voice Foundation stems from the tragic overdose death of Victoria Siegel in 2015. Since then, the organization has empowered countless parents and children through evidence-based drug education programs.

Despite the recent FDA approval of the first over-the-counter naloxone spray, access and stigma remain significant barriers to preventing overdoses. The collaboration between DRM and Victoria’s Voice aims to address these challenges by offering naloxone at a reduced cost through a partnership with InnovaScript.

With nearly 300 overdose deaths occurring daily in the United States, the opioid crisis continues to claim countless lives. This partnership represents a concerted effort to break down barriers, raise awareness, and ultimately save lives from the devastating impact of addiction.
