The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) will hold its 2024 Destination Marketing Forum (PDMF 2024) in Cha-Am, Phetchaburi Province, Thailand, from November 12-14, 2024. Organized in collaboration with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the city of Phetchaburi, and the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), with support from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the event will focus on promoting responsible and sustainable tourism growth in secondary and tertiary destinations.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the region’s natural landscapes and cultural treasures during a one-day destination experience, followed by a one-day forum with networking opportunities.
Phetchaburi Province, designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in 2021, offers a wealth of stunning attractions, including the scenic Cha-Am Beach and the charming Old Phetchaburi Town Riverside Community, which won the 2023 PATA Gold Award for its successful cultural revitalization.
Registration for the event is free, but seats are limited. Priority will be given to PATA Members on a first-come, first-served basis. As an advocate for responsible travel and tourism across the Asia Pacific region, PATA is pleased to announce that the PATA Destination Marketing Forum is a net zero carbon event. In collaboration with a local green initiative, PATA supports efforts to lower greenhouse gas emissions and enhance carbon sequestration in Thailand. To further our sustainability goals, a nominal fee of USD 10 per person will be charged for carbon offsetting at this event.
The PATA Destination Marketing Forum 2024 promises to be an informative and engaging event, providing a platform for industry professionals to connect, learn, and contribute to the ongoing growth of Asia-Pacific travel and tourism.
