Patagonia Launches Regenerative Organic Certified Pasta

Patagonia Provisions, the food arm of the renowned outdoor apparel company Patagonia, is making waves in the sustainable food scene with the launch of its new line of organic pasta. This isn’t just any pasta; it’s the first in the world to receive the coveted Regenerative Organic Certified standard. This certification, recognized as the most stringent in agriculture, goes beyond organic standards, encompassing the entire farming system, ensuring the well-being of soil, livestock, and farmworkers.

Patagonia Provisions’ commitment to environmental responsibility doesn’t stop at the farming practices. They’ve also prioritized taste and nutrition, creating a pasta that is both delicious and good for you. These pasta varieties are crafted in a high-quality short pasta factory in Brooklyn, New York, using traditional Italian methods. Each bite releases a burst of the natural sweetness of the grains. With an impressive eight times the fiber content of typical pasta, a single serving provides 28% of your daily recommended fiber intake.

These innovative pastas will be available starting September 5th at select retailers in Japan, including Coop Natural, FOOD&COMPANY (select locations), Musubi Garden (Aoba-dai store), Fukushima-ya (headquarters, Roppongi store, Toranomon store), Shinano-ya (wine store, Roppongi Hills store, cask), Moonlight Gear (Tokyo store, Osaka store), and WILD-1 (all stores) (availability may vary by location). Additionally, Pizza 4P’s TOKYO, the first Japanese location of the globally renowned pizza restaurant chain, will feature menu items made with the organic pasta. One such item is the “Patagonia Provisions Penne White Ragout Gratin.” This dish features a light white ragout sauce made with pork from Hasegawa Natural Farm, simmered in white wine and chicken broth, topped with 4P’s farm-fresh vegetables and a blend of homemade mozzarella, Gruyère, and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses.
