Patrick Mahomes Addresses Lombardy Trophy Controversy, Sets Record Straight

In a recent interview with Complex, Patrick Mahomes set the record straight regarding the Lombardy Trophy controversy. He stated that he did not hand over the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy to a stranger during the Super Bowl celebrations, but instead gave away a replica trophy. Mahomes had previously been accused of being intoxicated during the parade and carelessly handing over the trophy to a random individual.

Mahomes also expressed his commitment to winning another Super Bowl title next season. He stated, “I just want to let you all know that this is just the beginning. We ain’t done yet, so I’ll make sure to hit y’all back next year and I hope the crowd’s the same.”

Mahomes and the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, which was held at the Allegiant Stadium in Nevada. Mahomes is married to Brittany Mahomes, with whom he shares two children. The couple was recently seen celebrating a friend’s birthday on a weekend getaway.
