BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A pedestrian was seriously injured early Wednesday morning when he was hit by a car in Bethlehem, police said. The incident occurred at the intersection of Daly Avenue and Hayes Street at approximately 4:10 a.m. According to police, a 39-year-old man was crossing Daly Avenue in the westbound lanes when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The pedestrian was transported to St. Luke’s University Hospital’s Fountain Hill campus for treatment of serious injuries. Daly Avenue and East Third Street were closed for several hours after the accident but have since reopened.
