Peru’s CONMEBOL Copa America 2024 journey begins with a challenging match against Argentina. The third match of the tournament, scheduled for Sunday, June 23rd at 3:30 AM IST, will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Colombian referee Wilmar Roldan has been appointed to officiate this crucial Group B encounter. With a distinguished career spanning over a decade, Roldan’s experience extends to various international competitions including the 2011 Copa America, where he officiated two group matches and the third-place match between Venezuela and Peru. He has also been a part of the 2012 Olympic tournament, 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, and the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.
Roldan will be assisted by fellow Colombians Alexander Guzman and John Leon. Chilean Edson Cisternas will serve as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) with Edson Cisternas acting as the Assistant Video Assistant Referees. Peruvian officials Rodolpho Toski and Daniel Nobre will be the fourth and fifth officials, respectively.
