Phison Unveils Groundbreaking SSD Technologies at FMS Event

Phison, a renowned name in storage solutions, took center stage at the Future of Memory and Storage (FMS) event, showcasing its latest technological advancements. The company was awarded Best of Show for its innovative aiDAPTIV+ AI hardware and software solution, a testament to its commitment to cutting-edge technology. But the excitement didn’t stop there.

Phison unveiled the E31T controller, a groundbreaking achievement that claims the title of the world’s first mainstream Gen5 SSD. This controller is set to revolutionize storage for laptops and mobile devices, delivering blazing-fast read and write speeds of up to 10,000 MB/s in a heatsink-free design. The E31T doesn’t compromise on performance, boasting an impressive 1,500K IOPS for both read and write operations, while supporting capacities up to 8TB. This remarkable technology will finally allow for widespread adoption of PCIe Gen5 storage in mobile devices, thanks to its compatibility with the M.2 2280 and M.2 2230 form factors.

For those seeking high-performance Gen4 solutions, Phison hasn’t forgotten. The company unveiled the E29T, a DRAM-less controller built on TSMC’s efficient 12nm process. This controller delivers read speeds of up to 7,400 MB/s and supports capacities of up to 8TB for both M.2 2280 and M.2 2230 form factors, making it a compelling option for demanding users.

On the enterprise front, Phison’s Pascari SSD division made waves with the D200V 64TB SSD. This SSD leverages PCIe Gen5 technology and comes in data center-friendly form factors like U.2, E3.S, and E3.L. The D200V is designed to maximize storage density, boasting sequential read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s. K.S. Pua, CEO of Phison Electronics, highlighted the focus on “higher storage density per rack,” providing data centers with a powerful way to increase server capacity while reducing operating costs.
