Get ready, farmers! The 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Yojana) is scheduled for release on October 5, 2024, coinciding with the festive season. This scheme, designed to provide financial support to farming families across India, has been a lifeline for many, offering much-needed assistance during crucial times.
The PM Kisan Yojana provides eligible farmers with a direct benefit transfer (DBT) of ₹2,000 every four months, adding up to an annual amount of ₹6,000. This financial aid is a crucial support system for the agricultural sector, contributing to the well-being of farmers and their families.
So far, the Central government has successfully disbursed 17 installments of the PM Kisan Yojana, with the 17th installment released in June of this year.
How to Check Payment Status:
Farmers enrolled in the scheme can easily track the status of their payments. Here’s how:
1. Visit the official PM Kisan website.
2. Navigate to the ‘Beneficiary Status’ page.
3. Select the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option.
4. Enter your Aadhaar Number or Account Number.
5. Click on the ‘Get Data’ button.
6. Your Beneficiary Status will be displayed.
7. Verify the Payment Status of your benefits.
Eligibility Criteria:
The scheme is designed to benefit landholder farmer families who have cultivable land in their name. This includes small and marginal farmers with land up to 2 hectares.
eKYC Requirements:
To ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of benefits, all eligible farmers under the PM Kisan Yojana scheme are required to complete the electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) process.
There are three convenient modes of eKYC available:

OTP-based e-KYC:
Visit the PM-Kisan Yojana website, go to the ‘Farmers Corner’ section and select the ‘e-KYC’ option. Enter your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number. You will receive an OTP to your registered mobile number for verification. Enter the OTP, and the e-KYC process will be finalized.2.
Biometric-based e-KYC:
This method involves using biometric authentication, such as fingerprints or facial recognition, to verify your identity.3.
Face authentication-based e-KYC:
