Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP), accusing them of plotting to demolish the Ram temple in Ayodhya if they come to power. Addressing a rally in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, Modi alleged that the opposition parties have consistently disrespected the deity Ram Lalla and have attempted to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision on the construction of the temple.
Modi asserted that the SP government in Uttar Pradesh has operated on the principle of ‘one district, one mafia,’ contrasting it with the BJP’s ‘double-engine’ government, which he claims has driven the mafia and antisocial elements out of the state.
The Prime Minister further accused the SP of committing atrocities on Dalits and claimed that the BJP government is implementing developmental policies that uplift all sections of society. He also alleged that SP and Congress intend to reward those who engage in ‘vote jihad’ with property.
Modi’s remarks come in the context of the ongoing Lok Sabha election campaign in Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP is facing stiff competition from the SP-led alliance. The Prime Minister’s speech was aimed at galvanizing support for his party and countering the opposition’s narrative.
