During his campaign in West Bengal’s Malda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a thunderous welcome from the crowd. Addressing the public, he recalled a time when Bengal was the driving force behind India’s progress, leading the way in social reforms, scientific discoveries, philosophical advancements, spiritual enlightenment, and selfless sacrifice for the nation.
Modi lamented that Bengal’s greatness and prestige had been eroded under the rule of the Left and then the TMC. He accused the TMC government of rampant corruption and neglect of development, leaving only massive scams in its wake.
Modi implored the people of Bengal to vote for a change, to restore the state’s past glory and regain its position as a beacon of progress and prosperity. He urged them to reject the failed policies of the past and embrace a new era of development and progress for Bengal.
