Addressing the crowd, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that Congress has been supporting those who spread violence. He highlighted that the entire country has witnessed the actions taken against corrupt individuals and expressed his desire for blessings in realizing a developed India and Chhattisgarh. Modi also mentioned that certain international powers become agitated when India aspires to become a powerful nation. He indicated that India’s self-reliance could threaten the interests of these forces, who prefer a weak government and conflict in India.
Modi noted that the Congress manifesto had the imprint of the Muslim League, disregarding the principles established by Baba Saheb Ambedkar during the drafting of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits religious-based reservations. He accused Congress of prioritizing vote bank politics over the Constitution and the words of great leaders. He pointed out that Congress attempted to implement religion-based reservations in Andhra Pradesh in the past.
Modi further alleged that Congress planned to extend religious reservations nationwide, suggesting that it would reduce the quota allocated to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes. He also criticized the party’s proposal for an inheritance tax.
The Prime Minister asserted that Congress’s poor governance and negligence have damaged the country. He contrasted this with the BJP’s strict stance against terrorism and conflict, while criticizing Congress for supporting violent individuals and labeling them as ‘Bravehearts.’ Modi said that these actions have eroded Congress’s trustworthiness among the people of India.
